Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) - the first indigenous video game

Dead Good is pleased to be handling the UK and European PR for Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna). This beautiful puzzle platform game is the debut title from Upper One Games, the first indigenous video game company in the US.

In Never Alone (also known as “Kisima Ingitchuna“ in Iñupiaq, a language of the Alaska Native people in the Arctic) players take on the roles of Nuna, a young Iñupiaq girl and an Arctic fox.

This atmospheric puzzle platformed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC combines traditional folklore, stories, settings, and characters handed down over many generations by Alaska Native people whose roots and heritage date back millennia.  Featuring imagery and themes drawn directly from Iñupiat and other Alaska Native cultures, Never Alone features striking visuals, emphasises the sensibilities and perspective of these indigenous Arctic people and requires players to work cooperatively to succeed in challenging and harsh environments.

Dark fairy tale platformer, Woolfe The Red Hood Diaries, heads to Gamescom

GriN revealed that Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries, its non-sugarcoated fairy tale platformer, will be showcased at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from 13-17 August 2014. GriN will have a special playable build of Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries in the consumer area at Gamescom.

Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries is a unique interpretation of the French fairy tale, depicting a fearless Little Red Riding Hood as she embarks on a vendetta across a rich fantasy setting – including dangerous smoke-spewing factories, charming medieval villages and woodland landscapes twisted by evil forces.

To celebrate the first public playtest of the early build of Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries, GriN will be running a special ‘high score challenge’, with the top scorers being in with a chance of winning limited edition Woolfe Gamescom prizes. Cosplayers are also encouraged to turn up as Red Riding Hood and have their picture taken at the GriN photo booth, with the best being shared through the Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries community channels.
